A special meeting on Thamesbank Blue Green Infrastructure  was held in the House of Lords Committee Room 2a on the  10th of  December 2012.

The main objective of the meting was to discuss the  UK’s EU Treaty Obligation to make a Blue-Green Study for London.

Since Philadelphia in the USA has implemented some elements of the Blue Green technologies in the recent past it was felt that London could learn from the Philadelphia experience.

The organizers of the meeting learned about the existence of the Blue Green Dream (BGD) project and invited Professor Cedo Maksimoivc to present the project and how it can be implemented in the planned Blue-Green Study for London. In his presentation Prof.  Maksimovic highlighted innovative aspects introduced by the BGD project such as multifunctional Blue Green Solutions, integrated modelling system for quantification  of urban eco-systems’ performances if the BGD paradigm is implemented throughout the study.

Based on the orientations in the meeting and scrutiny question – open discussion, it was suggested that the comprehensive Blue-Green study should be carried out for London and that it should serve as background document fro detailed studies for each of the micro locations in which detailed concept of integrated BGD modellins system is expected to be implemented.
